Current temperature= 101.5
Current state= ouch!
Number of times I puked today= 2
Number of times I had other gross bodily functions= countless

So I got the flu last night at 3am. Worried I picked it up at the slam or I gave it to someone at the slam, so if you think it's a hangover from last night, it might not be. Take vitamins.... no take a vitamin iv.... no shove vitamins up your ass.... you DO NOT want this!

Feb. 23rd, 2006 05:30 pm B-Day Ideas Anyone??

So yeah...obviously I'm a little bent about turning 30. The other thing is that when my husband turned 30 earlier this year I threw a kick-ass surprise bash at the Tilted Kilt...lotsa people came. Meanwhile, I have avoided thinking about the horror of "30" so long that it's a few days and I haven't planned anything. And I don't think my hubby has either. And I have to teach a class tonite, so I can't even go hang out at the slam to relax...

I know for women, 30th birthdays are not exactly the easiest thing, but I figured the weekend would go more smoothly if we did something I could look back on and remember fondly.

Any ideas guys?

Feb. 23rd, 2006 05:19 pm So THIS is it....

only 3 more days left of 29.

How I will miss you 29....

29 is still dateable...(yeah I know, I'm married, but still...)

29 is still "miss" instead of "ma'am"

29 is one year farther away from death

29 is when your boobs are still where they're supposed to be

29 is miniskirts and tank tops

29 is when getting a new tattoo is still hot

29 is "I can still audition for American Idol"

But alas, 30...I must greet you on Monday. I think from now on I'll just call you...

29A.

1. I suck. This play has taken up all my time and I've been neglecting family, friends and responsibilities.

2. Now that the play is over, I'll be returning to the real world and catching up with #1.

3. Got a new, very cool freelance gig in addition to my current writing job.

4. Still back with hubby, he's moving in here in a few months and then when my lease is up, we'll be looking to rent a nice big house in Tempe.

5. THANKS to Klute and Doyle for coming out to see my show. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone, go show some support for our Mesa Nat'l Slam team and give them lots of money....cuz they are the best! :)

Jun. 6th, 2005 10:11 am Fetish Prom & Quirky Question

So, hubby and I went to the Fetish Prom this Saturday. All I have to say is - damn hot!! I'll post pics whenever I can manage to figure out how.

A question for my freakier friends (yeah that's you obtrectation and the klute..and whomever else might know).

Anyone know anything about the risks/safety issues associated with suspension? As a one-time thing and not a regular hobby...(no, it's not for me personally) I'm curious...anyone tried it?

May. 10th, 2005 12:13 am Hell Yeah Update

Monday Update:

1. I ended up with 3 A's and 1 A- this semester...hell yeah! It was a tough one and one of my professors swore he like never gave A's, so I'm shocked. But thrilled. The first time around, my GPA was a sorry 2.9, with a C average in my minor. This time (knock on wood) I started out with a 3.5, 4.0 and 3.9ish my first three semesters. Shows what maturity, actually caring about class, and actually liking your major does for ya...

2. Ended any possibilities with the guy in Houston. I was thinking maybe a fling and he was on a more "permanent" page, so we agreed to disagree on that one and I took "relationship past friendship" prospects off the table. I'm satisfied with this...and hoping when he comes to visit in 2 weeks we can still be good friends.

3. Saw Kingdom of Heaven. It kicked ass. And not just because of Orlando, aka 'eye candy.' See Klute's post for more details.

4. got a call for a job interview when i'm not sure i have time for the job (could use the money though)

5. Another one bites the dust - - top left wisdom tooth gone. I hate hate hate dentists...but kudos to this one. It took all of 15 minutes with a few shots of novacaine and was pain-free. Yipee. I'm still eatin lots of yogurt and soups though, per Dr instructions.

6. This play is kicking my ass. I sweated my ass off at dance rehersal tonight, and now rehersal is five nights a week for the next month. I'm tired and I'm getting my carpet cleaned tomorrow. Nighty Night.

How DOES this whole Arcosanti thing work? I'm assuming since no one has asked me to be on a team, I'm not going...but I was just wondering for future reference how the teams are chosen and what it's like...Thanks! :)
